...and it happened that as He was reclining at the table in the house, behold many tax-gatherers and sinners came and were dining with Jesus and His Disciples!

Mat. 9:10

Most of us have grown up in the western cultural view of what "Church" is. It is often closely associated with a building or campus that houses a group of people who have a shared experience in Christ.

While we honor the role of the Legacy Church or Institutional Church in our lives, we must extend the conversation to include a new (yet ancient) stream of gathering.

The portal to a Simple Home Church

The Home Church / Simple Church

The new testament writers point to the home as a center of life and ministry.  Much of Jesus' ministry took place in the homes of those He loved and called. Some common points of these "Simple Church" gatherings included:

     * Shared meals

    * Everyone contributes (1 Cor. 14)

    * Personal ministry

    * Close relationships

    * Spiritual led

    * Shared financial responsibility

    * Shared lives

Rev. Roger Shorey leads the congregation in worship and prayer in his home church unless otherwise stated.

Seating is limited so bring a chair or cushion.

We are a Simple Home church with a simple service:

  • We begin by greeting our congregates
  • Our weekly sermon follows the invocation of our Lord through prayer
  • With secular music playing congregates desiring may partake of available sacrament
  • We invoke our protection prayer
  • Closing prayer

A meditation/one-on-one session follows the service so please be on time as not to interrupt the other worshipers.

    * Use a hempen prayer cloth to inhale through when sharing the holy smoke among the community.

    * First passage of cannabis at age 16: Parents may choose to offer cannabis, child may pass on this opportunity.

    * Age of personal consent at 18: Adult steps forward and accepts Cantheism and shares in the sacrament.

    * Summer solstice: Bonfire jumping.
